First, we will look at an excerpt of a video describing the moon from the Avatar movie. Click here to get to video= Pandora.

Second, we will discuss together what you will need in your work to make it successful and look at how to plan our work. Then you will plan your work and check with a teacher before you start writing.

Third, do your piece of writing.

Fourth, complete you piece of writing. Remember to proof-read (check spelling and punctuation) and edit (does it make sense? do you need to change any sentences?) yourself and with a buddy and fill in your self and peer-assessment. Check it with a teacher.

My Writing

Planet Chrome

Planet Chrome is a planet in a ikarangi (galaxy) called Google. In Google there is a solar system called Gobnob in which Chrome is located.
In Gobnob there are not many planets. The planets are Chrome, Safari, Explorer, Drive, Kahoot and Yahoo.
On Chrome there are people called Chromainians.
Chromainians look like humans but they have 4 arms.
The Chromainians have high tech ships, cars, boats and drill machines and that is the way they get around. The Chromainians live in massive holes underground and most Chromainians live in groups.
75% of the Chromainians live in a big city called Chromainia.
Chromainia is exactly 7.76548921 miles long . In Chromainia there are about 260 skyscrapers.
To travel to planet Chrome you must freeze yourself in a meroririki (small) chamber and then you get moved into a waka (ship) that travels at the speed of light. The distance to Gobnob from Earth is nine hundred and eighty two billion two hundred and forty five thousand nine hundred and twenty one miles. By Nathan.

Yr 6 Cooking

Today the year sixes made chocolate sponge cake for our tech challenge. I found it challenging to work as a group to make the cake and I also found mixing the stuff together hard because it took ages for my group to mix it.

My Legs
I like my legs because they hold me and make me walk. They cling onto my bike like pegs . My Legs are kōmārohi (strong) like the supports on the Eiffel tower. They make me swim like a boat motor riding  on top of a massive wave. My legs make me jump like a kangaroo after its had coffee. My legs are straight like a plank of wood. My legs are the best part of me.
